Mu Metal Foil is a nickel-iron soft magnetic alloy consisting of roughly 77% Nickel, 16% Iron, 5% Copper, and 2% Chromium or Molybdenum . This distinctive composition gives it exceptionally high magnetic permeability and low coercivity, allowing it to efficiently absorb and channel magnetic flux. The material is very ductile, with a tensile strength of approximately 340–400 MPa , and can be readily formed, annealed, and worked into complex shapes while still preserving its magnetic performance.
